Performers Needed as Bollywood Comes to Bradford in TV spectacular

Open Auditions at Bradford College from 9am on 6 and 7 April

Romance, music, intrigue and drama are set to hit the city of Bradfordthis summer with Bollywood Live, a one hour TV spectacular for BBC Three, which will be broadcast live from Bradford’sCityPark.

Retelling and updating the story of Bizet’s famous opera Carmen, the show will capture all the excitement and glamour of Bollywood – and we want the people ofYorkshire to be part of it.

We’re looking for volunteer performers who wish to join us in this unique project. We need dancers, drummers and people who want to be part of our ‘flashmob’.

If you are over 18 and think you’ve got the talent, energy and commitment to be part of this show then come along and show us what you can do. No previous Bollywood experience is required.

We will be holding two open auditions for Bollywood Live from 9am on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th April atBradfordCollege inCarlton Street. Please come on either day.

You will be put through your paces by our choreography team, so be prepared to spend all day with us.

Open auditions for drummers will take place from 9am on Sunday 7 April atBradfordCollege. Please bring your portable drum or dhol with you.

Just turn up, there is no need to contact us beforehand but you will be required to register on arrival.

If you are successful, rehearsals for Bollywood Live will start in the middle of May and Bollywood Live will take place on 9th June 2013 at City Park in Bradford, the world’s first UNESCO City of Film.
