The Satyajit Ray Short Film Competition at the Bagri Foundation London Indian Film Festival (LIFF) 14 – 24 July 2016 is now inviting submissions. We are looking for films that show imagination, creativity and reflect the cultural diversity and experiences of South Asians within their own country or the Diaspora.

Entry Criteria:

  1. a) all genres of films about South Asian experience (South Asian = Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the Diaspora)
  1. b) maximum running time 20 mins
  1. c) submission deadline 4 March 2016(all films to be submitted on DVD or via a password controlled vimeo link, no previous entries accepted and films should have been made within 2 years prior to the deadline)
  1. d) a compilation programme of the shortlisted films will be screened during the London Indian Film Festival
  1. e) £1,000 prize for the winning film, which will be screened at the closing night gala of the London Indian Film Festival in July 2016
